Look, cool, a HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE toy. It's called Sophie's castle, as it's not the full-sized castle, but the smaller, resurrected one that Sophie rides in at the end. It's $128 at JBox [link] and the base measures about 6" square.
I'm tempted. With shipping, it'll probably be close to $150. If it were the full-sized HOWL castle, I'd probably buy it, but this one? I may hold off. It's really cool, though.

I initially bought it just because it was odd and weird and kinda funny. Then it came and I put it on my desk at work next to my monitor. Now, everyday, it sits there, smiling at me, head bouncing back and forth like a pendulum. It's strangely comforting. I suppose I could put a business card on there if I wanted to (it's supposedly a business card holder), but why bother.
I'm really not sure what it is, but it certainly looks weird. Must have. From JBox, natch.
Gizmodo really is quite evil as they routinely show me little things that I have absolutely no good use for but that I feel that I must have. Here's the latest: Bottle Dancers. Little guys that act as bottle cappers and dance....

It's fun to watch commercials online. It's even more fun to watch weird Japanese ice cream and candy commercials. Glico is one of the big candy makers in Japan, probably best known in the US for making Pocky.
